This sample Dungeon sits in the 1st and 3rd Edition DMG with only a few rooms. They did try to Populate the thing in a D&D Insider thread but that kind of died...so here it is:

THE DUNGEON OF THE FIRE OPAL

Pick a Room or area and develop it.

Room #3:
With a 25' high vaulted dome ceiling, this 50' x 50' chamber with single exit to the north. There are square holes cut into the stone in the far wall. The Ceiling is supported by sixteen heavy timber columns spaced every ten feet apart.

ROOM #1:

The vaulted roof of this chamber arches up to a 20' high centre. 30' x 30' chamber with stairs to the surface north, corridors east and south and a short corridor ending at a door to the west. There are webs near the high part of the ceiling.

DM BRIEFING: The ceiling of this chamber is at 58% chance of collapse. More importantly there are ring cracks that circle the dome making it look like it was laid as stonework. The Spider and its nine babies live in the web and should be beyond the reach of any PC with a burning Torch unless they throw it into the webs from below. Without columns supporting the ceiling of this chamber the central section is most likely to collapse if there is serious activity on the surface above it. It will probably cave in if Room #3 collapses. Check for Collapse if either event occurs.
