So i'm planning to make campaign that will be a continuation of the red box campaign, yes with Malareth and possibly Morgana.

According to my story Malareth never died, he just dissapeared. The classes that my friends used are the 4 basic ones, Wizard, Fighter, Rogue and Cleric. So i had an idea for each one.

Fighter: He died in the battle against Malareth, the Cleric prayed to Bahamut for him. Bahamut listened to his petition and he resurrected him as a Dragonborn(Yes, he's actually using a Dragonborn).

Wizard: After the fight against Malareth he became a Tiefling.(Yeah it sounds weird but it happened).

Rogue: After the fight against Malareth he kept training and he became a Longbow expert(Yes the guy who was playing Rogue made a Hunter).

Cleric: He just kept raising his healing skills.(The guy playing this remained as a cleric)

That's more or less the background of each character, i made it by knowing the class and race that they were going to be.

The story is set in a town near Harkenwold, which had been attacked by Morgana, the town is now divided in 3 "factions".

The resistance: They are a group of people that joined to well.. resist the attacks of the Annihilators. The resistance is conformed by a few wizards and veteran that were in the army of the old town.

The annihilators: They are the "bad  guys", mostly conformed by Morgana soldiers, they are also conformed by Malareth's undead army and part of the iron circle, they want to defeat the resistance and the neutral ones.

The neutral ones: They aren't neither good nor evil. They don't fight the resistance and they don't fight the annihilators, but if they have to, they will.

Basically the mission of the 4 heroes here is to defeat both Morgana and Malareth, they both are really powerful now so the heroes will have to go through a series of quests and fights to earn xp and be able to face them.

How do they meet?

Well they meet in a little village that is 5 miles away from the main town. The cleric is in church perhaps, teaching the priests how to heal properly, when someone enters the church saying that a strange man with a robe covering all his body, except a shield with the image of Bahamut on it, came to the village asking for him. When the cleric goes out to see who or what it is, he notices someone staring at him, he turns around and he can clearly see that it is a Tiefling,  he ignores him at keeps walking, when he gets near the man with the robe he notices that this man has a arrow on his leg, the man says " Help.. me" and then he falls. After the people helps him to take the man to the church a hunter gets to the village aswell. The cleric takes off the robe of the man and he notices that it is a Dragonborn, he also notice that this Dragonborn has the mark that Malareth did to the Fighter before he died (a X in the left eye). He heals him and leaves him there.

The hunter enters the church and the automatically recognizes the cleric and viceversa, they hug each other and talk. The hunter tells him that he was following a Dragonborn that came this way, the cleric tells him that he knows nothing about that, then they both hear "Liar!!" and from the shadows a Tiefling appears. They both assume a fight possition but the Tiefling says "I'm not here to fight with you, don't you recognize me?", "It's me (Character name) the Wizard who fought with you against Malareth". He tells them the story about what happened to him. After that the Dragonborn wakes up and see them all at the center of the church. The hunter takes out his bow and takes aim, when he's about to shoot the cleric tells him to stop, that the Dragonborn has something special, a mark near his eye. The Tiefling says that he's the fighter that resurrected as a Dragonborn, and tells the Cleric that his pray worked.

Anyways they talk and talk and talk about what happened to them, when they hear people screaming outside and they hear some soldiers screaming "Kill them all!! Burn all the structures!! Go into the church and burn it!!". When they hear that they automatically go out and they see a squad of soldier from the Iron Circle there. Then the guy who appears to be the Captain of them says: " A Dragonborn?! Hahaha, look soldiers, a Dragonborn...Kill it!!".

After they defeat the soldiers, they see that one of the soldiers ran away, they followed him for about 5 miles to the main town, when they get there they see an old man. This is a Skill challenge, if they succed the old man will tell them what happened to the town and he'll open a secret door to enter safely to the town. If they fail they will have to go through the main gate against the guards and the archers guarding it.

That's all i have at the moment, any advice for the story? Does it sounds too complicated or too deep?. Perhaps too boring?

Any advice would be appreciated

thats a good idea for a campain. 2 things though

1. let the players decide the fait of their characters. they would like it better that way.

2. bahalmut does not control fait and death, the raven queen does. if you wish to kill some one off and bring them back use the raven queens whisper (the raven queen will often breake a deal with people to do somthing for them to get somthing in return to expand her world, or to eliminate a way to kill her)

other wise, it's really good!
