You watch that video and you'll see what I'm talking about. I want to bring down alignments to four.

Lawful, Good, Chaotic, and Evil. Taken to their most extreme possible, and done in the most incompetent, shoot-self-in-foot manner.

I expect there to be lots of deaths. And I expect there to be ingame fighting. On the other hand, they might be able to justify working together through their stupid alignments. For example, lawful stupid paladin let's the evil necromancer guy get away with summoning some kid's dead grandma and making him cry because that kid skipped school. :P

The alignment will be graded in four grids. People will be expected to adhere to their alignment. Each alignment has an opposing end obviously. These will be graded in points. And will be integral to your survival to be an ideologue in your alignment!

Say for example Lawful Stupid Paladin. Note that the paladin can be any stupid alignment he wishes.

Paladin of Tyranny=Evil Stupid
Paladin of Slaughter=Chaotic Stupid
Paladin=Lawful or Good Stupid

Let's say he chose the lawful stupid path. His opposite is chaos alignment. When I feel the need to give him points in alignment I do. Let's say this is his score so far.

Lawful: 16
Good: 10
Evil: 8
Chaos: 4

This effects when he's damaged. Instead of HP, the player once damage is deal, makes a d20 check. Modifier based on hit die type and con mod.

HD d4: +0
HD d6: +1
HD d8: +2
HD d10: +4
HD d12: +5

He also gains a bonus to these checks equal to his respective alignment points. But reduces it equal to his opposing alignment's points. So sixteen minus four? Is twelve. So let's say this level 1 lawful stupid paladin has sixteen con, 1d20+4+3+12 a total of +19 modifier to his d20 check.

The point of the check? The check has to exceed his damage dealt or he dies!

The thing here is level does not increase your health, good (or should I say bad) roleplaying does!

What about neutral alignment?
I could see neutral alignment as either a flavor of lawful or chaotic stupid. Let's face it, burning someone's house down randomly then opening up an orphanage is chaotic stupid. Rigourously betraying your comrades and the badguy alike to "set the balance of good and evil" is lawful stupid lol!

So do I ever become an ex paladin?
Nope. There's no penalties for acting in opposition to your alignment. Well, besides the penalty of losing your alignment bonus to your life check.. And yes, if the opposing alignment is high enough, it'll even start to reduce your total modifier as a whole!
