It is not meant to be serious, and I've decided to make it pretty powerful for its size. I've given it pounce and they can spray acid, but I want it arround a challenge rating of 6 or 7. Here is what I've made so far... Amazon Death Koala Tiny Animal Hit Dice: 6d8+6(42hp) Initiative: +6 Speed: 40ft AC: 22(+2 size, +6 Dex, +4 natural), touch 16, flat-footed 14 Base Attack: +6 Grapple: -1 Attack: Claw +6 melee (1d6+1) Full Attack: 2 claws +6 melee (1d6+1) and Bite +6 melee (1d3+1 plus 1d3 acid) Space/reach: 2-1/2ft/0ft Special Attacks: Battle Cry, Pounce, Improved Grab, acid spray Special Qualities: Scent, Immunity to acid attacks, spiked fur Saves: Fort +7 Ref +15 Wil +8 Abilities: Str 12, Dex 22, Con 15, Wis 16, Cha 2, Int 2 Skills: Climb+12, Move Silently+8, Jump+7, Hide+10 Feats: Improved Grapple, Improved Nat. Attack(claw), Weapon finesse, Spring Attack Environment: Tropical Forests Organization: Solitary, pair, or Pack(4-7) CR: 6 Treasure: none Alignment: Neutral Death Koalas travel in packs often taking down large forest animals. They either attack with their claws or bite inflicting acid. Once per day they can release a powerful spray of acid on to the enemy(see below). They feast on raw meat and bone marrow. Battle Cry: Before battle the death koala lets out a bloodchurtling yell that all who here it have to make a will save(DC 16) or be dealt 1d6 sonic damage and be parilized in shock for 1d3 rounds. Pounce: When Charging a foe, a Death Koala can make a full attack of two claw attacks. Improved Grab: To use this ability, the death koala must succeed on a bite, acid spray, or pounce attack, in which it can grapple as a standard action without threatening an attack of oppurtunity. Acid Spray: Once per day a death koala can realease a spray of stored acid, dealing 1d8 acid damage, causing the enemy to be blinded for one turn. Spiked Fur: The Death Koalas fur hides porquepine-like quills. So if a foe attacks unarmed, try to grapple, or comes in contact any way receives 1d4 damage. Skills: A Death Koala can take 10 on a climb or jump check even when rushed or threatened. |

That said, Animals have d8 hit dies, not d4's. 8 is a -1 to melee damage, not -3 (though you might be doing initial damage as 1d3-2, but thats a silly initial damage and 1d3-3 mans 1 damage and is easier to write that way). CR 6 seems high for an AC 20 30 (after moving to d8's) hp creature. I bet many level 1 parties could eat them for breakfast. |
