Aug 17, 2008 21:12:33 My co-DM and I created a class i thought i would share with the online crowd. I call it a puppet master, we baised it off the wizard class or at least tried. The class cant fight inseted they created puppets to fight with, as the name sugests. The puppets are some times given a spell that the can use like a doll the can through lightning at its owners enemys, or the puppet is made to be strong with out magic. the PM themselves cant use spells eather, they are compleatly reliant on they're dolls or they're party.

Aug 18, 2008 1:49:56 Did you stat it out fully, and for which edition? I would be interested in seeing what you came up with, especially if it's 4e. Reminds me of the Effigy Master prc from 3.5.

Aug 19, 2008 13:41:15 what do you mean Excepional hero's? we made this for fun and the class has no real powers but the puppets, and though's were treating as constructs, also on that note i havent been able to buy any 4E books so i'm still in 3E.

Now to other news my Co-DM lost the sheet we had the PM all writen out on. Although I should beable to post the new sheet this weekend. unfortunatly I have a life outside my hobbies and books.....Whats an Effigy Master?????

They can make constructs that look like real animals and people. They can even form a link with one of their effigies to create a powerful animal companion of sorts.

Take the magic out of the effigy master and it should end up being more like the puppet master idea.

It is on pg 30 of the complete arcane; edition 3.5

That actually sounds very cool. I have a campaign for a homebrew world and am in need of a truly unusual enemy. This might be a incredible basis for one.

And thankfully 3.5 is my medium of creation still.

Aug 21, 2008 19:32:03 that sounds almost identical to the class but they can learn the 0-level spell just none of the others, and i still plan on posting the stats we're remaking. Go a head and use it thats why i'm posting it so that maybe somepeople would like the idea and use it! :D

Sigh* well at least my birthday is coming up maybe i can siphon off some of my car money for a new book i'd like to see what else are in those complete arcana, adventure, and the rest!
