| #1ShiftkittySep 26, 2009 18:04:44 | I have Al-Qadim, but it's too Arabian in feel. Are there any campaign worlds for D&D (any edition, any publisher) that are based off of Ancient Egypt? I have Gary Gygax's "Necropolis" super adventure from Necromancer Games, but I was looking for more of a proper campaign setting. I also have "The Desert of Desolation" from 2e, but it's also an adventure, not a CS. I can make it from scratch, but I was wondering if there was something already out there. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Off the top of my head, there's Mulhorand in the Forgotten Realms (though they've buggered off in 4e) and Osirion in Golarion (the Pathfinder Chronicles setting). The only dedicated Egyptian setting I know of is Green Ronin's Hamunaptra, and I've heard mixed reviews about that. |

I could easily be wrong, but I seem to remember there was a 3rd party setting based on Egypt, um, think it was 3rd ed., but can't remember the name - I'll check down at the local FLGS tomorrow if I get a chance. They've got a lot of old 3rd part stuff. I know there's also a 3rd party Biblical setting, which might have some material for ya. |

I sort of winged it this weekend with a small group and was quite fortunate to have most of the session taken up by a chariot chase scene through the city. I didn't have to get too historically technical, but hopefully I can hold the group off until I get some clearer info. |

I second this recommendation. The Gurps Egypt source book is chock full of rules neutral crunch. |

If you have the old 1e deities and demigods book there's a far bit of decent tidbits (at least on the religion side) there. Also Wikipedia it, there are quite a few solid articles there. |
