The mapping out the keep hook feels much the same and the invistigate the cult of orcus one just doesn't seem like it will appeal to the group that i am dming since they tend not care for religious based quests. (most usually play as agnostics unless they are clerics or pally's) So any ideas on something original? I thought about the whole find a map to the ancient keep or burial site hook but that has been done to death. |

Goods aren't going through Winterfell, and the company doesn't know why--so instead of sending a wagon with regular minion guards, they hire actual adventurers to ensure the safety of one shipment, determine the cause of missing freight, and eradicate the problem if possible. Why the heroes would stick around to delve into the Keep may be another matter. But currently, I'm running the missing mentor, who's now a part of the party. It didn't make sense for him to go home to the missus when his protégés could use his help. |

Those who reclaim one of these sites will get full ownership of the ruins and what they contain as well as a sum of money to start rebuilding them. They will also get the ownership of the land for X miles around the location. The keep is one of this fortifications. It will be a good starting base for adventures, a place the heroes can call home, and a source for hooks (defend the keep and the people living around it). We did a similar thing some years ago with the keep in the Haranshire that you clear out at the beginning of the "Night Below" campaign (2ed). |

The trade route idea was similar to one i came up with and thought of using but i had a start to an earlier campaign that involved the same players that was really similar to that, so i dont think i will go that route. thanks a bunch guys. anyone else have any other ideas? |
