Any thoughts on how powerful a "Shadow Clone" power would be?

I'd probably be less worried about it if it could use powers, but the Swordmage and the Clone had to split actions between them (only getting one Standard, Move and Minor a turn).

If the clone uses a power, it counts toward your use of the power. You can separately choose the actions of your clone (it doesn't have to mirror your actions). If the clone is damaged, you can take the damage instead to keep the clone in action, along with any other effect of the attack. Sustain: free. (You can't sustain more than one power at once, but your clone can get around that...)

Basically, the daily power allows you to take twice the actions, but you can be attacked in more than one place (take damage for clone) unless you end the power (minion defeated). I'd be concerned of losing the point (and mechanical simplicity) of the power in all the fear of "game balance." Testing will tell what level it should be.

Jan 15, 2009 16:39:28 It would be fine if (sounding like a broken record) you could not attack after summoning the "shadow clone" and you teleport 3 squares and became invisible, your clone could then use all your attacks (limited to a minor standard, and move) but once it took 1 point of damage it would turn into a log or something, and you could appear and use a AT-will power as a immediate reaction.

that has the kinda Nauto feel that you were going for,
the current power I would make a High level daily or utility at least 25+

Jan 15, 2009 21:12:38 The warlord paragon path in the manual of the planes has a shadow clone like power you might want to use for refrence, I like the way it works.
