Anyone else think feinting should be a move action?

I sure do, it's nearly useless as is.

Considering it can only be done 1/encounter, I don't think changing it to move action would be overpowered at all.

I also want to have Insight do the opposite, scan an enemy for attack styles and increase defenses against it for a turn.

I think initially they wanted to limit how easy it was to get CA, but at some point they realized that rogues need fairly easy CA to be on striker-level for damage at all. I agree with you--it'd be fine as a move.

Yeah, feinting as a move action shouldn't be too bad, especially since nobody's proposed making it work more than once per encounter. As an alternative to feinting, I'd recommend trying to pick up the Dragon Annual issue, which should include the new Rogue Class Acts article. There's a rapier-specific feat, Flash of the Blade, that lets you deal Sneak Attack damage without CA so long as neither you nor your target are adjacent to any other creature.
