Just an Artifact that has been running around in my head since I read about the Arcane Sword ED and Wizardmon's Star-crossed Lover ED. Based off two characters in my current campaign, who will hopefully make it to Epic Tier before something unfortunate happens and, DM willing, will have a Vorpal Blade to form the swords base. Might change the weapons name… not sure. PEACH of course.

History and Appearance:

The Oath of Eternity was formed when two lovers, an Eladrin Swordmage and an Elven Cleric of Sehanine separated by their duties, professed their love to one another after their final destinies had been achieved. Upon their confession, the two disappeared, leaving in their place an Arcane Sword. Created from the Swordmage’s immense power and filled with their mutual feelings, the lover’s spirits inhabit the blade to this very day. The blade has Supernal runes running the length of it, which glow like candle light and tell the tale of the lovers. The hilt is formed in the shape of two raised wings, with a ruby situated just above the handle on one side while a sapphire appears on the other. The handle, which is longer than a normal longsword’s would be, is wrapped in light leather bands to improve the wielder’s grip. Hanging off the end of the sword’s handle is a small Sunleaf from the Feywild, which never rots or withers with age.

Oath of Eternity
Forged by the bonds of love, this blade is faithful and true against the darkest of foes.
Artifact (Epic tier)
Weapon: Longsword +5
Lvl 25
Enhancement: +5 to attack and damage rolls.
Critical: +5d4 Radiant, Fire, Cold, Thunder, and Lightning damage.

Property: This weapon can shed dim light up to 10 squares. You can control the brightness and range of the light. Whenever you roll the maximum result on any damage die for this weapon, roll that die again and add the additional results to the damage total. On a critical hit, you deal +5d12 Radiant, Fire, Cold, Thunder, and Lightning damage instead of +5d4 against creatures with the Demon, Undead, or Immortal keyword.

Power (Encounter): Immediate reaction.
Trigger: An enemy attacks you. Gain a bonus to all defenses equal to this weapon's enhancement bonus until the beginning of your next turn.

Power (Encounter): Move action. Gain Insubstantial and Phasing until the end of your next turn, and teleport a distance up to your speed.

Power (Daily*Healing): Minor Action. Close burst 5; targets you and all allies within the burst; all targets gain Regeneration 10 and Resist Necrotic 10 until the end of the encounter.

Not really sure if it needs the Immediate reaction power, though it fits with the Swordmage’s warding. The move is plenty powerful in and of itself I think, but I’m not sure. The Daily*Healing power might need to be a standard action, but again, I'm not sure.

Pleased (16-20)
"We shall endure for Eternity."

The Oath of Eternity grants you the following power:
Lover’s Assault
With a sudden burst of Arcane power, the Oath of Eternity disappears for a moment as the lovers that created the blade appear at your side to strike down your foe.
Daily*Arcane, Divine, Radiant, Fire, Cold, Thunder, Lightning
Standard Action Range 5
Target: One Creature
Attack: Intelligence Vs. AC or Wisdom Vs. AC
Hit: 8[W] + Intelligence Modifier or Wisdom Modifier Radiant, Fire, Cold, Thunder, and Lightning damage. Target is stunned and takes 10 ongoing damage (save ends all).
Miss: Half damage, and the target is dazed and takes 5 ongoing damage (save ends all).

Satisfied (12-15)
"We are together, and so we shall remain."

Property: The wielder gains a +5 bonus to Religion, Diplomacy, Endurance and Arcana checks.

Normal (5-11)
"We keep our oaths."

Property: The wielder can use the Oath of Eternity as a Holy Symbol or Implement. It adds it’s enhancement bonus (but not it’s proficiency bonus) to attack rolls and damage rolls when used in this manner.

Unsatisfied (1-4)
"Your vows are weak."

Special: The wielder takes 10 necrotic damage every time they make an attack with this weapon. This damage cannot be reduced or prevented in any way.

Angered (0 or lower)
"Your words and actions are meaningless!"

Special: The wielder takes 40 Necrotic damage and the Oath of Eternity immediately moves on. This damage cannot be reduced or prevented in any way.

Moving On:
"Keep your vows and perhaps we shall meet again."

The Oath of Eternity disappears during an extended rest, whisked away by its own Arcane power. If the spirits of the sword are satisfied or pleased with its wielder, a Radiant Longsword +5 is left in its place.
