| #1quickleaf_dupMar 07, 2009 0:51:07 | I have an unusual request. Putting together kingdom on-pagers for my players I wanted to include pictures of typical dress for that kingdom. I've seen old books in a library long ago with this sort of thing, and I recently thumbed through Mark Smylie's Artesia RPG which has small pictures depicting characters in culturally appropriate costume. I might end up just trying to sketch them myself, but before I go that route, does anyone have any recommendations for me? Websites? Books? Magazines? |

Children's history books, with titles like "Life in Medieval England". These are sure to have pictures of "typical dress". 2. Society for Creative Anachronism websites have photos of people at events (in recreated medieval dress), and might also have illustrations as part of instructions on how to sew medieval dress. Type the name into Google - there will be numerous websites for the different groups around the world. |
