I am working on an enchantment system that would permit an Articifer to copy the at-wills of other classes into on-shot items.  Intelligence will limit the number known, created.  The implement plus will control the number active or availible.  The lower bullet points will be based off of a 7th level character with a +3 int and a rod of repair +1.

  • ie the implement held by the articifer can hold a shrd containing the at will equal to the plus of the item plus one (rod of repair +1 could hold 2 such shards)

  • limit the number of stones active on his/her person equal to the int mod +2  (int mod of +3 add the base +2 could have using the first example 2 shards on the rod with 3 others to change out)

  • the number known would be equal to his/her level divided by 3 rounded down (min 1)plus the int mod  (using the above a 7th level character with a +3 int mod would know 5 at-wills

  • at paragon level the character can now start learning encounter powers but can not re train the earlier at wills for encounters

  • at epic level the character can now start learning those but can not retrain to replace earlier

  • the path also controls what powers can be learned.  Arcane :Tinkerer,Self-forged Battlesmith, Battle Engineer < Martial > Warrior Forged clockwork engineer< Divine>  limits to the areas can be modified

  • To gain the above a feat would be required? or given as a character ability

I am now running a 12th lvl 1/2 E tinkerer-Self forged with a Battlefist +3  and attempting to flesh this out to get put into the game to reflect the 3.5e character I had and loved
