| #1wanderer3791Nov 18, 2011 12:36:00 | I have a few players who have a very specific character in mind. For example: one of my players is trying to emulate a Confessor from the Sword of Truth series, and is thinking that the Wizard at-will hypnotism is a decent representation of the "your life is now mine" of a Confessor. She is also interested in going Bard to be able to choose other dominate attacks and to represent the Confessor wandering the country-side. My first suggestion was to go half-elf with hypnotism as her dilletante (she's going Cunning Bard). The thing is - she desperately wants the character to be human and was hoping not to wait until paragon to use it at-will. I thought about a hybrid - but that might be a little outside the expertise of the group at present. The issue is I am hesitant to make a specific change for one character, without opening the option to the other players. So - how broken would it be if I let each player replace a single class at-will with the at-will of another class? I don't GM for power-gamers, and I could request a specific character-based reason for the request. I'm just fearful of the implications or things I should be on-the-lookout for. On the other hand, this might reduce the number of half-elves running around... Game-breaking? Reasonable? I'm out of my mind? |
