| #1papusmanJul 18, 2010 20:58:58 | I'm designing a short, lighthearted campaign for my players while we all adjust to a less reliable playing schedule (and we enjoy the funny.) Here's the deal- they're a mostly Dwarven outfit, so naturally they enjoy a drink or two. But (oh no!) their favorite bar has fallen on hard times, and is on the verge of closing down. And to make matters worse, the local Elven Bar is stealing away all their business! (ELVES?? Oh, Gods! No!) I'd like for them to go on a series of short adventures to restore their bar to its former glory. I have a few ideas already:
You guys have any other ideas? I know this isn't the most dramatic or epic campaign, but I think there's a lot of fun material to be mined here. By the way, the Dwarf-owned bar is called "Mirth and Ale" ("mithral?" har har) and the Elvish place is a hipster joint called Wüd. |

| #3tenor2baJul 18, 2010 22:10:29 | here's a few: for some reason every third tankard poured is moose urine, and every third tankard turns into swamp water, the last tankard is regular ale or beer. the beer is checked when brought in and when tapped and is perfectly fine. So are the tankards, nothing going on with them, either. What's causing this, and why is it happening. Something seems slightly out of place with the Elves' bar. It's almost like the patrons are hypnotized or charmed, and there seems to be traces of enchantment (to a nonmagical eye) about it. Odd. |

| #5tenor2baJul 19, 2010 16:47:22 | Hmmmm.... The Thugs Guild (or some other organized crime syndicate) has bought the property, and decided to evict the bar earlier than they told the barkeep they would. The enforcers come while the PC's are enjoying themselves, and take it from there. Cookie for the reference. |
| #6papusmanJul 20, 2010 21:55:54 | Ha! I really dig these ideas. Especially the drinking skill challenge and the elves hypnotizing the patrons. @Angorath- very "The Goonies" sounding! That could spin off into a whole other adventure, itself! Haha. |

| #9JhariiJul 21, 2010 11:16:41 | I could also see it as a Lucky Number Slevin storyline, where both of the bars mistake the party as another group of adventurers that owe them. |
