Our 3.5 campaign finally ended in epic levels and this is his second group that's gone the proverbial distance. What he's wanting is to take his old group that he DM'd for and our group, and have the parties duke it out in a pitched battle. The only problem he has is that he wants there to be a reason for this battle. So he is having me come to you while his net is down. How would you pit two groups of epic level adventurers against one another in a party vs party brawl? Some info about both parties to possibly help your creative thinking: Party One- A famous band of mercenaries who have set up shop as adventurers for hire and hire themselves out to the highest bidder. This group's dieties vary, and the group is mostly good, neutral good. The majority of their deeds have been good and wholy helpful to society as a whole. Party Two- A group of adventurers whose names have swept through the north because of their infamy more than any true good they've done. This group fought in the recent elven war, siding with the zents and have since been given parts of the moon sea to rule over. Bane claims the top diety spot in this group while Silvanus and two other minor dieties clock in as well. This group, despite their majority worshipping of Bane, is actual made up of true neutrals or neutral good characters, with only one lawful good among them. Anyway, that's some info you may be able to use. If you'd like any more info, or if you have ideas on why these two groups would battle, please respond. Thanks in advance! |
