Quickest way if you want a value per kill, is to determine how many monsters your party needs to kill of a given level to go from that one to the next (ie: how many level 1 monsters must your party kill to go to level 2?)

Then, total up the GP value of the entire treasure parcel for that level, converting all the items back to money. Divide that amount by the number of kills needed.

That'll be your per-kill value for the bandits.

Due to the fact that your players' enemies do not wear jersey with their names and their class level imprinted, I would suggest a rough scale of power. Maybe seven to ten levels of power, depending on the edition your playing. Then you try to fill this levels with explanations, why people are put onto this level of power. So you will always get an overview, how many bucks a PC earns. Fine details, maybe the nsc is a level above your players' level, you can improvise within this scale.

It would proably be about 1/4 to 1/5 of their money per level.  so.. 360/4.5 = 80 GP, plus the bandit would probably have a magic item.
