Perplexing riddles, puzzles, and tests of valor assure that only true heroes (or clever adventurers) may claim the wealth of old. The tomb of Krandall the Miser is the exception. Determined to take his ill-begotten fortune with him into the next life, Krandall designed his tomb to be a death trap for potential tomb robbers. If an animated bust asks the party riddles, it's probably buying time for the sentries to arrive. Building a dungeon around this concept; any and all help appreciated! |

The Final Vault Having breached the final Seal, Apart from the Heavy Glass Coffin (that sand stuff being pretty cheap and free) containing the corpse, the Vault is empty. There appear to be gold coins fixed to the far wall in an astronomical pattern of stars commemerating the month of his Birth (Scales). Cracking the Glass Coffin unleashes poison gas into the vault. The "Coins" fixed to the back wall are ends of Control Rods which when touched release the gates on a vast Subterranean Cistern in the Mountains that floods down into the Desert taking out a village built un the dry riverbed long since he established his civilization. In the Glass Coffin are ledgers accounting for the Millions he spent on building Irrigation Canals, Stone Paved Roads, Cities with Sewer systems, the Mountain Cistern, and the damn crypt. |
