| #1algarathOct 16, 2008 22:55:42 | Hi all I'm looking through the web for a good calendar generator. The one I found on Jamie Buck's appears to be down for now. Any ideas would be welcome! Thank you. |
| #2algarathOct 19, 2008 23:10:06 | NOone has any ideas where to look? I really need some ideas, as I'm charting the history of my campaign. Thanks all. |
| #3matthewswiftOct 20, 2008 0:10:02 | A long time ago I went looking for the same thing. I couldn't find anything free. |
| #4Guiltl3ssFeb 16, 2009 19:04:58 | Hi all I dont know where to find one, but if you're going to make one I would suggest making a Lunar calendar. Its a little different than ours is now and you can fill it with feastdays, holidays, and whatever else you want. |
| #5Rhineglade_Feb 16, 2009 19:20:28 | I've never used a "calendar generator." Can you define your terms? Are you simply looking for different names to use for Months, Weeks and Days? Or are you looking for specific historical events that you can include in your time line? |
| #6OreFeb 16, 2009 19:51:58 | I was going to link www.irony.com because they dozens of extremely useful generators (including a GREAT calendar generator) but I just checked it and the website has gone down (and is for sale). That's a shame... I've been using that website off and on since the mid-90s. Doing a search I can't find much of anything in the way as a replacement... |

| #8DevereauxFeb 19, 2009 4:09:32 | What a great idea, I'd never thought of this. I'll add a calendar generator to Masterplan. |
| #9ThoughtFeb 19, 2009 9:21:36 | Nice Calendar Generator... though I must confess, the best thing about it seems to be tracking the lunar cycles of several different moons. Though personally I tend to favor hand-crafted calendars. Real world ones have too much character for a randomly generated one to mimic it (for example, many months in our calendar were named after people, but some have numerical names, such as the 12th month, december... which translates as "tenth month"). |
| #10DevereauxFeb 19, 2009 10:12:30 | I've had a quick go at writing a calendar tool - does this look like the kind of thing that'd be useful?![]() |
| #11FedosuFeb 20, 2009 1:39:20 | Can it handle the addition and deletion of day and/or months for leap years? If so, yes that would be useful. |
| #12DevereauxFeb 20, 2009 3:01:18 | Can it handle the addition and deletion of day and/or months for leap years? If so, yes that would be useful. Not yet, but that's what I'm working on now. |
| #13FedosuFeb 20, 2009 4:14:48 | Cool. |
| #14ThoughtFeb 20, 2009 10:11:30 | That looks very nice and user friendly. Out of curiosity, does it also allow for the assignment of seasons? What makes leap years so necessary is to keep certain seasons in line with certain months, so that farmers can know that when X month is approaching, they need to be ready to plant. Which means, comparing a day to a season can be useful info too. |
| #15DevereauxFeb 20, 2009 13:54:41 | That looks very nice and user friendly. Not yet, that's also in the works. |
| #16DevereauxFeb 24, 2009 21:01:59 | I've posted the new version of Masterplan which has the custom calendar feature (with leap years and seasons as requested). Download link is here. |
| #17FedosuFeb 25, 2009 13:17:04 | Classy. |
