| #1roweJul 26, 2008 6:56:34 | This is the final encounter that will rap up the first chapter of my campaign. While the adventurers are off completing a quest, the town that sent them out on the errand gets destroyed by a minor antagonist of my campaign that was introduced in the beginning. here are the maps i put together that will detail the final fight between the PCs and a custom undead warlock. after the players clear the town of undead. or make their way straight back to the church to see if there are any survivors, they come across this ![]() ![]() When the PCs get near the church they notice blood trails leading into the church. Once they enter, they find lingering undead minions that are trying to approach the altar to desecrate it. They can't because the church was built with a stained glass picture of the symbol of Pelor. the light that shines through that glass creates an area on the ground that can't be passed by lesser evils. Once the PCs clear that lot out they follow the blood trails up stairs to the bedroom. those beds are bunk beds. there is a corpse of a maiden of pelor being defiled by 2 devil imps. after those are taken care of they decide to follow the blood trails out side of the church, up a hill towards the prayer grounds. ![]() where the Head priestess has set up a magic barrier around a statue of Pelor. The undead warlock is trying to break the barrier down. He needs her for a ritual, and his undead minions are bringing the corpses of the townsfolk, and are defiling the area with blood and body parts. This encounter will be pit the holy magic of the priestess vs. the warlock once the PCs show up. the warlock will ignore the PCs and send his undead minions after them. during the fight the warlock breaks down the barrier and incapacitates the priestess. Then he turns his attention towards the PCs, and battle ensues. tell me what you think |

| #4roweJul 26, 2008 7:56:02 | There are going to be relatively minor encounter through the town before they get to the warlock. a few standard zombies, but mostly zombie minions. Not every one in town is dead yet, and a few are fighting back. There is a cowardly level 3 wizard held up in the library that will assist players if persuaded. As well as a halfling rogue merchant that is battling minions at the bazzar area. |

| #6dirtyfrankJul 26, 2008 17:09:43 | Make sure the undead warlock is not able to be charged nor easily shot. My friend like to avoid the underlings and try and take out the leader first. Basically make him hard to get to so that things can go a bit more to plan. |
