| #1dogbackwardJan 22, 2009 13:00:43 | I'm looking for a program or the like to whip up a city map for a campaign I'm planning. It'd have to be pretty simple, since my computer sucks. I don't really need detailed stats, like population or anything like that, I just need something that'll give me a nice-looking map to show my players. It's an online game, so it'd have to give me an actual picture to copy. Also, I'm dead broke, so it'd need to be free. If anybody knows what would be best for this, I'd be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance. |

If not there are plenty of programs out there that could be used, some are freeware; you should have a look in the digital d&d forum, im sure i saw a post with links in it there recently![]() EDIT: If you find a map on google that's not quite right, or that you want names removing from, i could always modify them in photoshop for you :D |

| #4yellowdingoJan 22, 2009 18:58:05 | Draw it using Microsoft Word on a PAGE 21" x 21" then convert it to a JPEG and Save it as low Kb as possible, Write a Webpage for it and use the city map as an image map so that as each building is selected, A Map of a Building and Stats comes up. You can do the same for streets and bring up a Steeet section map for any Street level action. If you draw the citymap in Pen and Paper you can scan that and use the image as an imagemap... You have the tools. Learn to use them. |

If I could have done "y", I wouldn't be asking for "x". No offense, but if you don't have an answer to the actual question, all you have to do is hit "Back". It's easy, really. |
