| #1plotinusNov 23, 2008 14:19:00 | I'm looking for some way to come up with a Half-Dragon paragon path (my Drow will eventually become a Half-Dragon as a blessing from Bahamut). The thing is, I need to come up with a way to implement this in the game. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start for creating this? |

If its breath weapon, I would base it off of the dragonborn's breath weapon. Really you could do both, have the breath weapon as the encounter power, flight as the utility. |

You go into a trance for one week. Powerful wild magic begins flowing through your veins, and your body begins to bear more and more resemblance to one of the majestic Metallic Dragons every day. Choose one metallic dragon to emulate. Your breath weapon and all related abilities match theirs where applicable. Draconic Action (11th level): When you spend an action point to take an extra action, you also gain +4 bonus to attack rolls until the end of your next turn. Ferocious Gaze (11th level): When a bloodied enemy starts its turn within 5 squares of you, it takes damage of your breath weapon’s type equal to your strength modifier. Aerial Dive: (11th level) Your wings grant you flight movement equal to your speed. Ferocious Revenge (16th level): An enemy that bloodies you evokes your terrible wrath and trembles with fear when they realize their terrible mistake, granting you and your allies combat advantage until the end of its next turn. Halfblood Breath (Half-Dragon Attack 11) A massive burst of elemental energy pours out of your maw and envelops all those in front of you. Encouter - Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Poison Minor Action, Close Blast 5. Strength+4 vs Reflex (Increase to +6 at level 21) 2d6+Strength Modifier damage (Increase to 3d6+Strength Modifier at level 21) Damage is of the same type as your dragon patron’s breath. Fearful Presence (Half-Dragon Utility 12) Your intimidating gaze causes all who meet it to flee in terror. Daily – Fear Minor Action Close Blast 5 Effect: All enemies that you can see within range have fear (save ends) Mighty Dive (Half-Dragon Attack 20) Your broad wings beat powerfully as you climb as high as you can, then they fold and you drop into a controlled dive, striking at your enemy like a bird of prey, pulling up at the very last second. Your weapon hums with elemental energy and releases it into your foe’s unfortunate body. Daily – Elemental, Weapon Standard Action Attack: Strength vs AC Hit: 4[W] + Strength modifier damage, 1d8 breath damage. Miss: Half Damage. |
| #4alumanNov 24, 2008 13:01:19 | PEACH please So humans can get +7 on attacks? That probably a bit powerful, but I think I have seen +4 to hit before soo...I guess its ok. Ferocious Gaze (11th level): When a bloodied enemy starts its turn within 5 squares of you, it takes damage of your breath weapon’s type equal to your strength modifier. Since its Gaze add in 'as long as they can see you' Aerial Dive: (11th level) Your wings grant you flight movement equal to your speed. Make it clumsy. Or overland with a feat to make it clumsy. Ferocious Revenge (16th level): An enemy that bloodies you evokes your terrible wrath and trembles with fear when they realize their terrible mistake, granting you and your allies combat advantage until the end of its next turn. Once per encounter. Add that in there somewhere, else I could stay 1hp above bloody and drink a potion to regenrate when I am bloody and all but constantly get the CA Halfblood Breath (Half-Dragon Attack 11) Drop the increase. drop the +4 add on 'implement' most characters will come from the Cleric or Paladin to it. Fearful Presence (Half-Dragon Utility 12) This is some kind of attack power. It needs to be changed to a real utility like maybe 'draconic armor +4 to AC until the end of your next turn' Mighty Dive (Half-Dragon Attack 20) This is probably ok...except for the flavor text, as the text implies a charge, but the wording isn't a charge. |
| #5plotinusNov 24, 2008 17:06:40 | Once per encounter. Add that in there somewhere, else I could stay 1hp above bloody and drink a potion to regenrate when I am bloody and all but constantly get the CA. The effect of that was copied directly from the Angelic Avenger's level 16 Blood and Radiance feature. If WOTC approves that feature, it's fine with me ![]() |
