Hello,
I own all the Crimson Skies Books/Game published by Fasa, I also own the complete set from WizKids and both the Pc & xBox game & all the available novel's...

I also own most of Dnd 3.5 & Modern,
Is there a way that I can port Crimson Skies to either Dnd 3.5 or Modern?
I love the air combat, villains & heroes among the clouds etc...

The idea I have for an adventure, Two character's forced by circumstance to work together, both owe someone rather nasty money (I’m going with the Famous Pirate *Khan*) to pay off this debt they have to steal a plane on Show, an Experimental plane. So they have found a lone guy, Beat him up, stolen his clothing and ticket... One enters the Gala while another waits at the Mechanic's entrance... Character One will let Character Two into the facility to locate the plane in question while Character One with his reputation for being Light Fingered, will permanently borrow item's of Value (Of course, I expect it will go rather wrong here) Combat ensues, Character Two has the Aircraft ready to go, Character One the pilot Climb's aboard and the Take off.... The End (Not really, But enough time to go out & get something to eat)...

That's the idea for Session one... Even though there are two team's of characters (4 character's total) the two Teams do not know of each other's presence until they get Airborne, Where I expect it to get real interesting... Dealing with each other, while trying to escape & dealing with Paladin Blake Air Security... Should be interesting...

Please reply ASAP.

Which system should I use?
Dnd 3.5 or Modern?
How would I work air combat?

Please help.
Thank you for your time and help.

I'd use modern (assuming guns and bombs and what not).
As for aerial combat (I don't know if modern has rules for that, but D&D 3.x does at least for maneuvering).

Hello,
Thank you for your reply,
Which Dnd 3.x book were you referring to? the one that feature's the Maneuvers.

Also, Modern use's a wealth system in stead of Cash, I prefer using Cash... Do you know of any way to convert the *Wealth* to Cash? is there any Reference's any where? or should I make up my own system suitable to Crimson Skies??

I am unaware of any Modern book featuring 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 & 70 calibar weapon's for aircraft. Is there a book that feature's them? or should I use something else in place of the various Calibar weapon's??

Please reply ASAP.
Thank you for your time.

50. cal is the biggest your going to get in calibers. 20mm is the biggest your going to get for aircraft guns. After 20mm; your getting into grenades, mortars and rockets.
Your going to need to get a modern vehicles splat book to get those weapons systems.

As far as wealth to cash, your going to have do the conversions on your own.

Hello,
To clarify, What is a Modern Splat Vehicle Book?
Were do I find them? Are they free or do I purchase them?
Are there any Modern Supplement book's that you know of that
deal with Aircraft & Zepplin's or just Aircraft?

Please reply ASAP.
Thank you for your time and help.

Would D20 Past be suitable?
I found that it cover's Pulp Fiction & AirCraft, although I Did not find rule's for Aircraft Construction, As I will need to build the most common found plane's in Crimson Skies. Please help.

Update, Game one played. No Aerial Combat yet though, Just ground work.

Day 0 for the NewEmpireThief's...
Hiding around the corner of a new Showroom owned by a Neutral party rumoured to be from Hawaii, with adjacent Airfield, all to show off plane's. Famous, Experimental, Mundane. Basically anything anyone or any company wants’ to have on display.

Enter the two newest thieves’, Big on Bravery but not much else. Knee deep in debt with the wrong crowd & desperate to pay it off, So desperate they turned to a Stranger, Someone who call's himself *TheSettler* odd name, But what made this an interesting job to take is the location and the prize to be stolen...

Griev (Russian, Diplomatic, Pilot, Thief Gambler) needs some way to get into an invite only gala held in this new showroom. There he is, waiting around the corner until he spotted a mark. He walk's up to the man who is all alone with Confidence and a fake detectives badge with the following word's "Excuse me sir, we have a crime scene around the corner & a young lady pointed to you as the criminal, please come with me" the confused and young man sheepishly agrees. As they round the corner Griev's friend and accomplice exit's from the shadow's.

Macihell (British, Engineer, Gunner, Brawler, Thief) proceeds’ to beat the man unconscious, Blow's left and right, before the young man can react, within moment's the man fall's to the ground. A quick search reveal's $250 dollar's cash and an invite to the gala, Dropping the body into a near by dumpster and a quick dash to the entrance by Griev, He enters. All going well so far, His coat taken, a Glass of Sparkling Wine, followed with some well placed handshake's, Mindless banter, all the while moving towards the exit in the left rear corner, near the Men's toilet's. With no one looking the door slide's open and Macihell enters into the building, stalking closer to the targeted Aircraft.

Griev return's to the crowd after giving Macihell the $250 stolen from the young man they beat up, Looking for suspecting target's to thieve from, he spot's a rich old lady by the name of *Duchess Marigold of Britain* to his delight through clever speech Griev Discover’s the location of where she is staying, how she arrived at the destination and more importantly that she has in her handbag a small *Ladies Pistol* among other assorted item's. He offers to buy some drink's, she agrees, he wanders off to purchase the drink's, as he wanders off he steps on her dress, she falls over loosing grip on her handbag. Acting the gentleman he picks up the handbag successfully lifts the gun & a small box of ammunition out of her handbag, including $1000 folded in half and held together with a Golden money clip, keys to her apartment & car and lastly a few small rings and a letter. All of which he pocket's.

In the meantime, Macihell located the Kestrel with Gold Plated Racing Stripes down both fuselages of the plane. With the large hanger door's open and no one around, he climbs aboard, waiting for Griev. Moments later Griev enters the empty hanger, quietly calling out for Macihell with a low rumble grunt following. the Wheel Stops are removed, the Engine's started, Weapons loaded, Security alerted and off down the run way.

Unawares that a Howard Hughes Zeppelin is slowly moving in on their position with a full compliment of air craft ready for a fight. How will this turn out? Tune in next time for the next thrilling Instalment.

Splat books are simply non-core rules resource books.
