The curse has manifested as a tattoo mark that started as a small circle on is finger, but as he uses it has grown up his arm in the shape of vines. He can use it to summon these greenish-black vines to restrain opponents or ruin wagon wheels, to name a few examples. Usage of the curse is erroding his soul, represented by taking damage on top of the fluff description. They've reached level 6 recently, and he's going to have the chance to have it basically catalyzed to further its power, and I'd like to give him a concrete card with abilities. I'm thinking the abiity to immobilize an enemy as an encounter power, an a daily that deals ongoing five poison to an enemy that is restrained. And of course any other use of vines he can summon from a surface he can think of, such as making it easier to climb a wall. The first drawback I want for sure on these powers is dealing damage to himself, but I am not sure about a fair amount. I've been telling him five damage for the vines up until now. Not sure whether a bit more is neccesary, or what the damage should be for the poison. I'm also not sure if making him to roll to hit on top of it is needed. If it is, I have been thinking the restrained should be someting like Dex(main stat) + 2-4 vs Reflex for the restraining, and Dex + 2-4 vs. Fort for the poison. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated. |

Look at some of the symbiotes from "Khyber's Harvest", that should show you how to make it look "official", although you should make his curse more powerful than the items in that adventure. Make the attacks calculated in the same way as monster's attacks: I don't remember if it was 2+level or 4+level against NADs You can use the Block Builder in my signature to give it "the official feel". Then of course you add this into one of your main story lines, where it was "Planned this whole time" that he would master his powers yadayadayada. Just make sure he doesn't get spotlit ;) Happy Gaming! |
