I've been wondering about allowing some of my players to create their own paragon path's or epic destinies for their favorite characters. They'd be able to come up with their own abilities and powers, that I find are within reason as compared to others from the standard Paragon path and Epic Destiny powers.
We are currently using the Character builder for character creation, as we don't have the plat to buy many books or magazines, at least at the moment. My question is there any other program that might help us construct additions to the character? I assume this would make them houseruled, which is fine, but because of the custom build of the characters the character builder would have no chosen PP or EP.
If you have any experience with this sort of customisation, could you toss me a reply and give me some info on how it worked out, or how to make it work better? thanks! |

You could still use it to find feats you wanted, or qualified for, as well as items, but manual sheets will become a necessity.
I've had two players design their own epic destinities. I was worried they would be overpowered, so I supervised their creation. They were both good, but not broken. Solid, 4/5 epic destinies. Ironically, neither of them ended up using them (Going with Soul of the World and Thief of Legend instead, so...) |
