I know a tiefling is supposed to be like a half devil or a descendant of a devil, but i was wondering if anyones done any full devil races, like a pit fiend or something cool like that. links would be appreciated.

It's pretty simple to just play a Tiefling and refluff yourself as an actual Devil, but if there's a specific sort of devil that you're thinking you'd like to play, then it should be simple to whip something up rather quickly if you give some details. Though, I have to say that a Pit Fiend is pretty massively inappropriate for use as a PC race.

i did want a pit fiend.  i wanted to tie my heritage directly to the power houses of the abyss,  i thought it might be intresting to have a character that could possibly be a noble of the abyss, and no matter how much you fluff a tiefling it just doesnt seem right.

Nitpick

Pitfiends are Devils, as such they are from the hell realms.

The abyss is home to demons, like the Balor.

Then what you want is a Tiefling.  No homebrew necessary.  Pick whatever class you like and reflavor as appropriate, done.

I still think that Tiefling is the best option for you, but here's my 10-minute attempt at a Pit-Fiend-ish Devil race:

Ability Scores: +2 CHA and either +2 STR or +2 CON
Size: Medium
Speed: 6 square
Vision: Low-light

Languages: Common, choice of one other
Skills: +2 Bluff, +2 Religion
Damned Origin: You are considered to be an immortal creature for the purpose of effects that relate to creature origin, and you have the devil keyword. Unlike other devils, you do need to sleep.
Fiendish Presence: You can select either to add the Intimidate skill to your class skill list or to gain a +2 racial bonus to Intimidate.
As long as you are conscious, bloodied enemies take a -1 penalty to attack rolls made against you. This is a fear effect.
Fire Resistance: You have resistance to fire damage equal to 5 + one-half of your level.
Hell Breaks Loose:
You have the hell breaks loose power.

Hell Breaks Loose
Encounter * Fire
Move Action, Personal
Effect: You fly a number of squares equal to you speed. Each creature that makes an opportunity attack against you during this movement takes fire damage equal to your highest ability score modifier before its attack is resolved. If you do not end your move on solid ground, you descend to the ground slowly without taking falling damage.

I would increase the damage of the power at each tier.  Even doing some massive min-maxing, you're only going to be looking at an ability score mod of maybe 8?  9?  At Paragon Tier, 8 damage is kinda weak, and at Epic, that's not even going to move the HP meter.

Because your highest ability score modifier will already be scaling with level, any further increase is unnecessary, especially because that's not the main effect of the power anyway. The main effect of the power is flight. Compare it to, say, the Wind-Walker racial power; this one offers two fewer squares of movement, but that's really not that big of a deal, so whatever it gets to replace it does need to be minor. Besides, being immune to minon opportunity attacks is awesome.
