You have a class that's restricted to light armor and doesn't get an AC-boosting secondary.  Caster or not, this is a problem.

Not every light armor wearing class has an AC bonus.  Or at least not for every build.  Rogue and Wizard don't all have AC bonuses they're dependant on certain build choices.  So it really isn't a problem at all.

Bad examples.  Rogue and wizard both have an AC stat as their primary.  Try again.

Yes, this is a point i meant to bring up in discussion.
Currently i addressed this problem with a feat (Shadow armor) which allows to use Wis or Con instead of Dex or Int modifiers for AC.
I know it's basically gonna be a tax feat but i felt it's a bit to much to include this in the class features for free.
Alternatively, I might just add chainmail armor proficiency to it's list.

Thoughts?

P.S - Rangers, Warlocks, Shamans for example are pretty much build/feat dependent for thier AC.

Given how Hide Armor Expertise went, if you're not going to alter the features to allow the secondaries to go to AC directly it might be better to go to chainmail.  Extant mistakes should be learned from, not repeated. Tongue Out

I second (or is it third?) giving proficiency in Chain. Leaders are often squishy, but AC 13 at first level is pretty brutal.

Dark Promise: indicate that it is the "Dark Aura" instead of just aura.

I've been working on a shadow defender for the last month or more. I find it amusing that we have both used Psychic, Necrotic and Fear keywords. I haven't read up on any other Shadow classes so I don't know if thats normal.

Alright then. Added Chainmail to armor list.  Also revised shadow armor feat and turned it into a somewhat lesser version of cloak of distortion.

On another note, Should i add an option for Charisma based Melee basic attack? as it is, AOO's are gonna be wasted for this guy without combat training.
Fluff wise i guess it fits that the shadow would make OA's for the wielder, so maybe add a feature power of sort.

@ciaran - I assume those keywords would be present for most shadow classes, pretty much part of the Dark Evul theme Wink
