Oct 26, 2010 9:55:12 I want run tropical island where dinosaurs run amok. I know I want them to fight angry natives (reskined orcs) and T-rex. They are 3rd level so i do not want anything higher then 7th level, but i have not found anything when I look in the compendium for dinosaur or T-Rex.

If you guys would have any ideas for encounter groups other then those two or monsters i can re-skin to act like dinos I would be gratful. The only thing that comes to mind right now is making woles into raptors.

What you call "dinos", the 4th edition calls drakes (for raptors and other predators) and behemoths (stegosaurus and ankylosaurus). Check them.

EDIT: Now I have the books on hand...

Monster Manual:

Macetail Behemoth (Soldier 7) = Ankylosaurus
Bloodspike Behemoth (Brute 9) = Stegosaurus

Guard Drake (brute 2) = raptor-like; good as a hunting team.
Needlefang Drake Swarm (soldier 2) = remember those packs of mini-raptors from the second Jurassic Park movie? Yeah.
Spitting Drake (artillery 3) = ... and what about that one who spits acid on the fat man from the first movie?
Rage Drake (brute 5) = raptor-like.

Wyvern (skirmisher 10) = works as a pterodactyl.

Monster Manual 2:

Bloodseeker Drake (soldier 4) = another raptor-like.
Horned Drake (skirmisher 5) = scaled-down triceratops.
Scytheclaw (skirmisher 10) = jumping raptor.
Fang Titan Drake (controller 18 elite) = T-Rex.

Oct 27, 2010 19:07:01 Also you may want to look into Goodman Games Critter Cache: Prehistoric Beasts. It is outstanding for various dinosaurs and a few other prehistoric critters.

Oct 28, 2010 21:13:14 Reply, thanks for all the help. These will be great. I am going to have to run it later though. I expected a hurricain to drive them of corse and to dino island, but they used a bunch of rituals and made some insane rolls. Thanks
