#1 kroska Nov 21, 2009 12:10:42	I know a ton of bits and pieces about the abyss but a lot of things i don't know the details to. 1. whats the criteria for a demon being summoned by another. Do a gaggle of faffing about dretches suddenly warp to a balor that says "Go kill Bane real quick" ? 2. Did the abyss created by sheer chaos or was it simply found as is? 3. With dagon being the first demon created (supposidly) does he have any crazy plans besides guarding the seed of evil, specifically from Orcus i think? 4. If a demon dies and the abyss ressurects that demon as something lesser or greater does it retain all its memories? 5. Is Demogorgan insane or just misunderstood? 6. What the heck is the agreement/peace treaty between dagon and demogorgan? 7. Are Vrocks the single most annoying/ugly demon out there? 8. Is the seed of evil really at the bottom of the abyss with Dagon guarding it or do i have the layers mixed up? If so whats at the bottom of the abyss? 9. Do demons really only live to serve as a giant garberator for the abyss to take back what the gods stole from it? 10. Is the abyss itself a living/thinking orgasism or entity? 11. What would happen if one of the demon princes ruled over all the others and became a demon king? 12. What kind of nonhell would break lose if the abyssal armies finally took control of the first layer of hell? 13. Can a demon being summoned by another refuse to be summoned or is it compulsive? 14. Is every sqaure foot of the abyss filled with demons or are their giant spans of just nothing around? 15. Does each layer of the abyss span out into infinity? 16. Why are dretches so smelly? Well, these are all the questions i could think of. Add your own questions to the mix or give your best guess to answer them.

Well, it is just like a sudden warp. Basically, a Demon can summon a few lesser Demons, though it has to be careful, as if it is able to, and accidently summons a group of Demons too powerful, it might get killed. 2. Did the abyss created by sheer chaos or was it simply found as is? In 4.0, Tharizidun put a shard of raw chaos into the Abyss and turned it all evil. In pre 4.0, it was said that no creatures no save for perhaps Dagon, as it has been there as far as all records go. 3. With dagon being the first demon created (supposidly) does he have any crazy plans besides guarding the seed of evil, specifically from Orcus i think? Well, he supports the reign of Demogorgon, and beyond that, guards a large portion of knowledge. He has a group of Kuo Toa followers on the material plane, and seeks for them to spread their religion to all. 4. If a demon dies and the abyss ressurects that demon as something lesser or greater does it retain all its memories? Yes, it will retain it's memories, as when the Abyss ressurects it, it fully ressurects it's mind, and thus it's experience and memories as well. 5. Is Demogorgan insane or just misunderstood? He is insane and pure evil, but it is due to insanity from having two minds. He could've been good before the accident that transformed him into two creatures. 6. What the heck is the agreement/peace treaty between dagon and demogorgan? In return for knowledge of the Abyss, Demogorgon supports Dagon and allies with him. 7. Are Vrocks the single most annoying/ugly demon out there? They are the most annoying, but the ugliest could be manes. 8. Is the seed of evil really at the bottom of the abyss with Dagon guarding it or do i have the layers mixed up? If so whats at the bottom of the abyss? Well, there is no buttom of the Abyss, as it goes on forever in random directions. I think buttom of the Abyss is a metaphore for the most difficult place to reach in the Abyss. 9. Do demons really only live to serve as a giant garberator for the abyss to take back what the gods stole from it? They might've been created as it, but most do not just serve that purpose. 10. Is the abyss itself a living/thinking orgasism or entity? It is living, but it may or may not think. 11. What would happen if one of the demon princes ruled over all the others and became a demon king? It would be overthrown, considering all of the Abyss would be plotting against it. 12. What kind of nonhell would break lose if the abyssal armies finally took control of the first layer of hell? Well, the Arch Devils' personal armies and the Dark Eights' armies would be sent in to regain the layer. If you situation worsened, the Nessian Guard would be called in. 13. Can a demon being summoned by another refuse to be summoned or is it compulsive? It can try to fight back, but there's no way it can avoid being teleported. 14. Is every sqaure foot of the abyss filled with demons or are their giant spans of just nothing around? It varies from layer to layer. 15. Does each layer of the abyss span out into infinity? Again, it varies from layer to layer. Some are infinite, some are not. 16. Why are dretches so smelly? Glandular problems.
