would help but got no clue what u mean by saga

i mean it will be based off the rules of starwarsrpg saga edition, which is the child of the previus verson of the starwarsrpg and 20d modern. its a lot like dnd4e without the wild and hard to keep track of class powers and instead having a sets of talents players choose form as there characters progress. im just happy someone replied.Embarassed

My experience is that the talents and feats in SAGA are far harder to keep track of than 4e's powers and feats. I can't recall how many times I looked at a creature's stat block while I was runnign a game, had to stop the game fro 15 minutes whiel I scoured for the talent and what it did and then to find out the creature in question was useless with the encounter set up because it's talents and feats don't jive with what I considered a good encounter make up that made sense sotry-wise (like a higher level Imperial Officer with two lower level officers). All because I'm not going to memorize 200+ talents. I got rid of my SAGA books and neve rlooke dback (until recently, wish I had them for reference if nothing else now)

Also some of the SAGA feats are passive while others are active, 4e has a (mostly) streamlined feat system in that they are all passive. And the powers are easy enough if you print out (or buy) power cards.  This why I am doing the opposite, trying to convert Star Wars into 4e, but I think in a way that we may be able to help each other. If it can be done one way, it can be done in the reverse is my thinking, though I could be wrong. I'll check in here to see what you've come up with, and once I get my thread rolling again when I have the time to work on my conversion, I'll let you know if I find something that will work for you.

Yep, and that just comes down to individual tastes. Wow re-reading that post, I apologize for the horrid amount of typos in it. My keyboard demon gets dyslexic on me at times. Once I finish writing my D&D campaign (already have part of it done as I am running it with my group once a week right now), I will be getting to the SW conversion, so I should be able to reverse engineer some stuff and give you some ideas then.
