| #1xalendarJul 17, 2008 1:40:08 | I plan to introduce these parangon feats in my campaign, I just want your opinion : Always one move ahead [Warlord] Prerequisites: Int 13, lvl 11 As a superior tactician you always think about your oponent next possible moves and means to counter them. Benefits: You can use the exploit Always one move ahead once per encounter. --Always one move ahead Your superior mastery of real time tactics allows you to anticipate your foes next possible moves and use them at your advantage. Encounter * Martial Immediate interupt - close burst Target: You or one ally in burst Trigger: One of your action or your ally's action just have been rendered useless or interrupted by an ennemy interupt / reaction. Effect: You or your ally can immediatly replace the ineffective / interupted action by another of the same type or lower (a standard action can be replaced by another standard action or a move action or a minor action for exemple). You or your ally have a +1 power bonus to all roll implied by the new action (to hit, skill, damage, etc...). Battle awareness [Warlord] Feeling the flow of battle allow you to flexible during a fight and to react to every of your foes moves. Prerequisites: Wis 13, lvl 11, trained in perception Benefits: You are not limited to one reaction / interrupt per round, but to 1 + wisdom modifier. You gain a +1 power bonus to perception. Signature move The extensive use of your favorite move has made it a deadly weapon in your hands. Prerequisites: lvl 11 Benefits: Choose one of your at-will or encounter attack power. You score a critical hit with this power on a 19-20 and gain the [high crit] property on this power. If this power doesn't rely on weapon damage, use the base damages of the power as the [high crit] value. This effect stack with any other effect giving the [high crit] property (weapon, feat, etc...), increasing the [hign crit] value one step. At level 21th you score a critical hit on a 18-20. |

It also should be re-written so it's more straight forward what it actually does. Wisdom isn't an ability score that most warlords would ever bother with so almost none would ever take Battle Awareness. Signature Move seems overpowered to me. I've got no ideas on how to change it so it isn't as I'm fine with abilities that improve crit ranges being only available through epic feats and certain paragon paths. |

(it's a metagame issue not a balance issue) This effect stack with any other effect giving the [high crit] property (weapon, feat, etc...), increasing the [hign crit] value one step. over powered. Crits are very potent in 4E |

For example, on a successful crit, the target is dazed until the beginning of his next turn. Also, there is no "save ends" as it's not an on-going condition, and it's a fairly short condition. If the target turn is immediately following the PC, then the condition ends at the beginning of the player's next turn (or right before the beginning of the turn). If your signature move involves a flourish where you whack the side of the targets head with the flat of your blade, the condition could be deafened. Other conditions could be stunned, helpless (dangerous, as it allows a coup de grace), immobilized, marked, etc. pg 277 in the PHB |
