So... I wanted robots in my game that didn't look like Warforged; I know flavor is mutable, but I still wanted to keep the Warforged too, I decided to make something like an off shoot of Warforge called the DOLLs. You can download the pdf here.
Tell me what you think...

Inhuman Agility is unneeded. The reason some races get bonuses to a Defense is that they have stat boosts which would both apply to the same Defense. The Eladrin has a Will boost because its +DEX and +INT both apply to Reflex, and the Warforged has a Will boost because its +STR and +CON both apply to Fortitude. Your D.O.L.L.S however, have +DEX and +CHA, so they don't need a Defense boosted.

I see, that's very cool, so it's gone now. Anything else?

"They were built to look attractive but at the same very non-threatening so as to fulfill their programmed roles."

Perhaps instead of +2 Intimidate, they would be better served by +2 Bluff or Diplomacy?

Also, it might be neat to have an embedded component that gives the DOLL programming that provides them with a skill. Depending on the memory that the DOLL finds or is given, this could become a compelling adventure hook, similar to _Johnny Mnemonic_.

Finally - and this is just fluff - most races are formatted like this:

"Play a xxx if you want to be ...

- a character who is good as some group of PC classes"

I don't know what a DOLL would be best at, but I'd think "Cleric, Warlord, or Rogue". The first two are because DOLLs seem built to buff allies and maybe debuff enemies, and the latter because of their frequent use as spies. The only thing about suggesting Clerics or Warlords is that I have trouble picturing a party with a DOLL as a "leader". The race seems built more with Troi in mind than Picard. ;)

It is really cool and here is what I would change,
manual prowess and human interaction are not kn own strong suits of robots in my sci-fi experience. I would give it +2 Intelligence for sure and I would give it either +2 Strength or Constitution but i guess since they are surgeon bots the dexterity is acceptable

also I think they are actually light on racial features and there are a couple things you can give them to compensate if you take away dexterity and/or charisma

FEMININE WILES: Dolls have accented...you know...that are scientifically designed to get the best of men of all ages and races. they get +2 on bluff and diplomacy checks vs. males

TARGETING SYSTEM: using their advanced velocity compensation and targetting software Dolls can treat all weapon ranges as if they were 5 squares larger at no additional penalty OR they use their intelligence stat in place of dexterity for any ranged attacks that call for dexterity

assuming "Area Wall 8 within 10 squares" is equivalent to 'line' from 3rd edition , I would change defense system in a few ways. for fluff purposes, if the doll is supposed to act as a security system for homeowners i doubt that they would be pleased with a 40 long hole through their homes. I would vamp the damage to 1d10 and take away Line. this is preferencial but I just don't think what it has is justified

hope taht's useful

I put the +2 cha for basically that any model doll is built specifically to be attractive... man I can't believe I didn't catch that +2 intimidate that was supposed to be something else entirely (silly copypasta mistake)... probably diplomacy... Thanks! I think it'll be...Insight actually. I was thinking since most were built to be med bots more or less, their all trained in the ability to heal and the ability to read people. So Insight, though I could see Diplomacy, or even Bluff.

I don't think they're that light on racial features, they are living constucts... and that has a whole list of features to go with it; I just really didn't feel like putting it all in there. I think being able to share Warforged paragon paths, and feats is pretty nice... but... eh, maybe it could be better.

The leader thing... the only reason I mentioned it like that is cause all leader roles are the ones that heal. I guess i should have mentioned it more like if you wanted to be a healer, more than a leader...\

Oh yeah, thanks for the feedback

Oh yeah, about those embedded components, I'll think about it; I might use that skill giving embedded idea; though I'm not sure if that would be broken... I mean it's basically something like a few hundred gold for training in a skill; which no other race or class can do...

I didn't want to give them a boost to strength or constitution... cause I figure that's the realm of the Warforged. They're the strong battle types, while Dolls I think were never particularly designed to fight in the same battle field. They made really great support, and sometimes spies. I'm weary of giving them an int bonus cause that means both stats go to reflex defense, and I'd really like one of the bonuses go to one of the other defense. See, I could see it be like +2 wis and cha, with a something like inhuman agility to add to reflex save. But I dunno much about it. I really like the +2 dex and cha, though not the best stat boosts for a cleric, warlord or even the new artificer; though they're great for rogue, still works especially with cha paladins or warlords... I think warlords have cha right?

The Wall 8 though... I dunno, I like the wall effect, it works as a deterrent really, and you don't have to use it all I think... though.... I mean there is racial feat to change it... eh, I don't knows.
