| #1DiachronosMay 03, 2010 0:58:00 | My friends are planning on startnig a roleplaying club next semester, and here's one of our DM's campaign ideas. Our current campaign ends up with us defeating a Spellscarred Dragonborn who did a ritual to make... something happen (haven't beat him yet, so we don't know what he was trying to accomplish). The campaign idea our DM has for next semester deals with the aftermath of the ritual: we weren't able to stop it completely, and it screwed a bunch of stuff up (he hasn't given us all the details on that yet, either). Basically, instead of making regular characters, we're choosing a type of Dragon to play as. Since we'd need to go into towns for information and stuff, he's allowing all of us to have humanoid forms regardless of whether or not our chosen Dragon has that ability. And at the end of the campaign we're going to be fixing the biggest problem of Valorain the Tainted's ritual: the freakin' Tarrasque got woken up. |

| #3DiachronosMay 03, 2010 21:44:59 | We finished up this semester's campaign, so I can fill in the blanks now: Valorain was doing the ritual to get to an axe. The axe, as it turns out, was owned by one of the Primordials and contained his essence: specifically, the Terror King (the one who killed Io). Well, the Terror King's essence ended up possessing the Tarrasque. So now we don't have just any old unkillable monstrosity bent on mass destruction: This one's smart. Anyhow, our DM said that our Dragon campaign is going to take place hundreds of years after Valorain's defeat and the Tarrasque's emergence from the depths (yeah, we actually got to see it). Even with the massive army of dragons and other forces, the Tarrasque is still rampaging. Our characters are going to hatch from the last of the dragon eggs, which have been kept safe this whole time by a Deva who happened to be one of our ally NPCs from the previous campaign. We'll be trained by the Deva and a mythril dragon before being sent ot find a way to kill the Tarrasque. And this has no relevance whatsoever, but Natan, the Deva, has yet to die even once. He's been living the same lifetime since he was Io's archangel. |
