| #1pyromancer999Sep 26, 2008 18:00:57 | The Dragon-touched races in Dragob Magic were much loved , so I'm going to convert some of the races in it to 4e: Silver Brow Humans Trade the extra skill for cold resistance 5 + 1/2 your level. Trade extra at-will for the use of either of these powers once per encounter: Rime Blast Silver Brow Racial power Encounter Ranged 10 Standard Action Attack: Constitution + 2 vs. Reflex Target: all in blast Hit: 1d6+Con modifier cold damage Effect: target is slowed (save ends) Special:Attack changes to Constitution + 4 vs. Reflex and damage 2d6 + Constitution modifier at level 11, and attack to Constitution +6 vs. Reflex, and damage to 3d6+Constituion modifier at level 21. Armor of the Silver Dragon Silver Brow Racial Power Encounter Trigger: You are about to get hit by an attack that targets your reflex or fortitude defenses. Target: You Effect: You gain +4 to the defense attacked for three turns. Black scale Lizardfolk Stat bonus:+2 Cha, +2 Con Water Breathing: Black scale lizardfolk may breathe under water. Poison or acid resistance: gain resistance 5 + 1/2 level to poison or acid. Corrosive Bite: You gain the use of the Corrosive Bite racial encounter power. Corrosive Bite Black Scale Racial power Encounter Standard action Trigger: You make a basic attack that hits. Effect: All of your basic attacks deal +1d6 poison or acid dmage until the end of your turn. special: You choose the type of damage this power deals when you start. This choice may not be changed. More to come. |

| #3wyld_mutationSep 27, 2008 15:17:28 | Your templating is kinda borked actually. The power levels are relatively solid though. I'll fix it when I get around to it. |
| #4ff6shadowSep 27, 2008 16:47:03 | First, I'll throw some templating to make it easier to read. Inside I've included a list of problems I noted. |
| #5pyromancer999Sep 27, 2008 17:46:52 | Not bad. STill, it's not like those are major modifications. Still, thanks for formatting it. |
| #6ff6shadowSep 27, 2008 18:11:58 | No problem. Feel free to quote, then cut and paste into your original post. |
| #7wyld_mutationSep 27, 2008 21:12:22 | Beat me to it. I'm just lazy. Most of ff6's changes look good. They just make the actual parts work right. As written you'rer kinda vague, and some effects are entirely useless (Your corrosive bite cannot be used in the same turn you make an attack...). |
| #8pyromancer999Sep 28, 2008 11:21:03 | Personally, I think the formatting is good, but I don't know how to do the boxes and all that, so I'll leave it as it is, with ff6shadow's formatting and adjustments being the final ones. Can anyone think of any other races from Dragon Magic that they want converted? I'm thinking about converting Forestlord Elves/Half-Elves, and maybe the Frost Orc, but I'm open to suggestions. |
| #9ff6shadowSep 28, 2008 11:39:54 | That's why I said quote then cut and paste. When you quote you'll be able to see the code for the boxes. For your benefit, here is how to do the boxes. [noparse] |
| #10pyromancer999Sep 28, 2008 19:47:19 | oh, okay. Still, anyone have requests for races? |
| #11viktor_von_doomSep 28, 2008 21:10:15 | Silverbrow humans are overpowerd, big time. You need to drop some things, I would suggest either the three bonuses to defenses and the Bonus feat or Cold resistance. |
| #12pyromancer999Sep 29, 2008 15:22:25 | Well, they have already lost a bonus at-will and skill. Moving on.... Any races for me to convert? I'm opening it to any and all races from 3.5 e material |
| #13wyld_mutationSep 30, 2008 8:36:58 | Spellscales Kobolds (expanding upon the MM) Hmmm... Draconic Anything I'm forgetting? |
| #14pyromancer999Sep 30, 2008 14:47:07 | Spellscales, kolbolds, and Draconic have all been taken care of already. Anything nobody else has converted yet? |
| #15half_dragon_infernalSep 30, 2008 23:23:48 | Glimmerskin Halflings. Also, It's Viletooth, not Blackscale. Blackscale were in MM3, and yes, they were large. Viletooth were the acid ones, and were more casters than warriors. |
| #16pyromancer999Oct 01, 2008 14:24:16 | okay, will get started on that as soon as I can. And sorry for the name error with the lizardfolk, everyone. |
| #17chimeratechnologyDec 26, 2008 14:47:24 | i would like to see this fininshed |
| #18pyromancer999Jan 03, 2009 12:19:31 | Um, chimera, it IS finished. what do you mean? |
| #19pigknightJan 03, 2009 18:11:24 | Where did the dragon touch you? |
| #20alumanJan 03, 2009 19:25:34 | Silver Brow Humans This is fine. Probably ok at 5+1/2 level Trade extra at-will for the use of either of these powers once per encounter: Remove effect, or change 'until end of next turn' slow (save ends) is too powerful on a racial encounter (available from level 1) Add Con+2 v Ref Upgrade damage to Con+4 v ref 2d6+Con at level 11 and Con +6 3d6+Con at level 21. Armor of the Silver Dragon Silver Brow Racial Power This one is probably fine, maybe make +4. I think shield is +4. Black scale Lizardfolk There encounter power is wonky. Change it to 'Trigger: You make an attack that hits' and Effect 'you deal +1d6 posion or acid damage with this attack' |
| #21pyromancer999Jan 04, 2009 9:41:14 | Alright, Aluman, I posted the changes you recommended. |
| #22pyromancer999Mar 01, 2009 19:29:34 | *bump* |
| #23pyromancer999Aug 01, 2009 10:52:30 | Okay, new update: Change the bonuses to defense on the Silver brow to just a +1 to one defense. Then change the bonuses to +2 to Cha and +2 to any physical score(Con, Str, Dex). |
