Hey, I'm designing a dwarf paladin who has since retired from active duty to church and become a prison warden for a capitol city in the vanilla DND Points of Light campaign setting.

Which deity makes the most sense for him to worship & why? In thinking Erathis, because all civilizations would have a need for the incarcination and reformation of its criminals. I think it also fits bc she's one of the deities who has the freedom domain, which is why the reformation & freeing of criminals would be a high concern for her worshiper warden.

Are there other thoughts? Would love to get some more input. Thanks!

Let me also be a little more specific and say she's still religious and part of her church. By retired from active duty I mean she's no longer adventuring and has settled down in the city to work as the one in charge of their prison. She's no longer going out and destroying undead and stuff like that. She still attends her church and maintains her paladin class and paragon path abilities.

PS - sorry for the pronoun mix up. She's definitely going to be a woman.

Erathis would be a decent choice simply because of her background. Bahamut would also be a good choice because the dwarf would be seeing justice through to the end by making sure criminals serve their sentence. If the prison is normally guarded by followers of Erathis then you could tie in thematic designs to the warden and the prison. Numerous gears and complex locks are used to keep the criminals in, clerics are prison counsellors, paladins are the heavy riot-guards, and avengers are used to hunt down escaped convicts.

Hope this helps.
