| #1ratchetsgJan 23, 2010 15:37:03 | hi there, im currently running an eberron campaign and am asking for some advice/inspiration on where to take it. The game originally started as a small intro campign to teach my two newest players DnD and give them a bit of a taste of roleplaying. The paryt are currently in Xen Drik after being hired by the morgrave university to go there an recover artifacts from a particular period. The game itself was only supposed to be a few sessions long, but now it seems im going to be running it for a few months at least. The main theme I am running with a the moment is action adventure style, rather the epic fantasy, so everything is quite fast paced and light on plot. Even in two sessions ive had them fighting off sky pirates from boarding the airship they were on, and had them ambushed by posionscale lizardmen in the jungles of Xen'drik so I want htings to move quite fast. The rest of the plan was to get them to a ancient yaun-ti city and go on a bit of a dungeon crawl, fight a dragon and get some of the artifacts they are after. Does anyone have any idea's on how i could expand this little adventure? |

Have the players stumble into a Drow sacred ritual/sacrifice on accident, desecrating their holy site....drows get angry and now PC's have a new, unrelated proble. You could even throw in the classic 'damsel in distress' sacrifical victim etc. The 'damsel' might later turn out to be someone they will later regret having saved in the first place...agent of Dreaming Dark, something else? Just go nuts. Don't plan too much. |
