| #1greatfritoJan 22, 2009 1:40:50 | Here's my quick draft for my Elan race (I wanted to have at least one race done that thematically complemented the classes as I re-re-revise them). Enjoy, and as always, feedback is extremely welcome. Elan Artificial beings created by infusing mortal forms with pure psionic energy. Racial Traits Average Height: 5'6” - 6'2” Average Weight: 140 – 190 lb. Ability Scores: +2 Constitution, +2 Intelligence Size: Medium Speed: 6 squares Vision: Normal Languages: Common, choice of one other Skill Bonus: +2 History, +2 Psionics Construct: You have the construct keyword, so you are considered to be a construct for effects that relate to that keyword. Elan Resilience: You can use elan resilience as an encounter power. Living Construct: As a living construct, you have the following traits.
Psionic: You have the psionic keyword, so you are considered to be psionic for effects that relate to that keyword. |

You might want to make it only resistance to psychic damage, or, if you want the versatility of the old elan back, the player must choose one damage type (fire, acid, poison, cold, lightning, thunder, radiant, necrotic or untyped-i.e. physical) to get the resistance to each time he uses this encounter power. |

I would think so too, but that's the way Warforged are formatted (with both keywords). I wanted to stick to that format. That racial power seems a bit overpowered. I had a feeling that was (possibly) true. |

They do not have both keywords in the MM, the Compendium, or the Character Builder. I think the Warforged article was in error when it was printed like that. The two terms confer different abilities and conflict. I think you are better just sticking with Living Construct. |
