#1 merdok Aug 01, 2008 18:33:22	I was trying to figure out how to cause something such as a massive area whare anyone who enters without pertection may not sleep because every moment there eyes are closed they are having the worst nightmare they could posably have. Further more after only one night they are compelled to stay in the area whare the feild is and "Search" to find what is wrong. Long story short its mass hypnotisem though sleep depervation. The idea being that a tired mind is more sesptabe to things like that so it makes it much easer to controol them . I was struggling with how to do this in a realistic way untill I rembered something that I read in an Eberron book one day . The Eldritch machine witch is basicly the evil masterminds trump card . (Its in the eberron adventurers handbook) What do you think of using such a machine to create this hypnotic feild around a large area. Also what are your ideas on how its built . Weather its fully functionall at the begining of the campaign ? Maybe the first group of fallowers was just a test ?
#2 Book5 Aug 03, 2008 16:00:00	Well "machine" .... but the first thought that comes to mind is the poppy field from wizards of oz. Hehe - but seriously - the questions yur asking yourself are ... Is it huge? Perhaps it is a giant disk that is underneath the entire area in question. Is it small? A nondescript boxlike object hidden in the center. Is it a single object? Four pillars that quarden the area effected? Another idea just springs to mind (from white dwarf, an old sci-fi) but what if it was several floating orbs. They could hang up out of the reach, and ranged weapons - projecting the effect down onto the land. Thoughts! :D
