Encounter Building Guides (Probably the wrong section)

Oct 09, 2010 8:27:03		Greetings my hawkmen! I have come to ask a question, does anyone have any links to encounter building guides? Preferably good ones. If nobody does some general advice of how to build interesting encounters would be nice.

Oct 14, 2010 20:45:13 		I do not know of any guiedes but the DMG series have several types of encounters stated out.  They are phrased like

1 brute of level x+2
2 soilders of level X
1 controler of level x+1

Once you know the level you just look through the compindium online to fill in the specific type.
Also with each monster listing in the book are several encounters listed.  As fo maps, steal from on-line.  If you want use your own make sure you avoid one big room.  A circular map can be a lot of fun.
