Okay, so I thought multiclassing gave access to epic destinies. I was, apparently, wrong... but I rather like the idea, so I'm planning on making that a standard house rule in my games.

Is there a reason why I shouldn't? Is there some grave danger to game balance I'm not catching?

Well, uh... it's not really fair to players who don't want to multiclass since EDs give pretty significant bonuses...

If you want you can always make individual EDs that require multiclassing. In Martial Power, there's one that requires martial paragon multiclassing.

Meh. One of the best epic destinies, Demigod, is open to anyone already. I don't see any problem with it, though Archmage is a beast as well.

Yeah... I'm looking out for specific unbalanced things. People not wanting to multiclass isn't something I've really run into... I've more seen people not thinking multiclassing was worth the resources. If someone wants a specific destiny enough, they'll likely think it is worth the feat it takes to get into the class that allows it.
