You gain a bonus to the damage rolls of weapon attacks. The bonus equals your Charisma modifier. Hit: 1[W] + 1d6 + Str modifier damage. keap in mind most barbarians use 2 handed weapons so a example of damage might be Hit: 1d12 + 1d6+4 str damage +4 cha damage Scorn+1 feat damage 1d12 +1d6+9 and this would be at lvl 1 without and other aditional modifiers 11-27 damage lvl 1 and thats with no conditional modifiers compare it to a rouge wich is one of the highest damage dealers I am aware of 2d6 sneak damage 1d6 base damage +4 dax damage 1 feat damage 1 damage with lightblade and oportunity (feat damage bonus 3d6+7 10-25 minus scorn the barbarian already has same damage as rouge without any special situation being required so I would eather drop the extra d6 from at will power therefor reduceing powers damage or get rid of scorn. but hey just my opnion and I am far from always right |
| #3rampantDec 24, 2010 23:56:23 | Potential problems 1. Making the barbarian a fighter build is kinda of questionable. For starters the fighter has already got the slayer build which is also a striker, and more in line with the fighter archetype. 1a. Adding primal to this build when the other fighters are pure martial makes its connection to them even more tenuous. 2. Primal instincts is pretty potent, possibly over powered, most abilities like this offer the option to replace dex/int with the chosen ability mod, and also do not apply to reflex, however the original barbarian from phb2 has a level based bonus to ac and reflex in addition to its hide proficiency, maybe that would work. 3. Scorn is fine taken on its own, however you'll notice that you're guy is running several ability scores here. Strength, Charisma, and wisdom, most essentials style classes pick two and stick to them. 4. Two daily rages at level 1? seriously? |
