My take: Ki Focus Expertise Benefit: You gain a +1 feat bonus to implement and weapon attack rolls that you make with a ki focus. In addition, when you use your Assassin's Shroud or Flurry of Blows class features on a creature granting combat advantage to you, they deal +1 bonus damage to it if you hit that creature with an attack made using a ki focus on the same turn. Both of these bonuses increase to +2 at 11th level and +3 at 21st level. Dagger Expertise Benefit: You gain a +1 feat bonus to implement attack rolls that you make with a dagger. In addition, you gain a +1 bonus to the damage rolls of implement attacks made with a dagger that have 3 or more targets. Both of these bonuses increase to +2 at 11th level and +3 at 21st level. Blade Implement Expertise Benefit: You gain a +1 feat bonus to implement and weapon attack rolls that you make with a light or heavy blade. You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls on opportunity attacks made with a light or heavy blade. Both of these bonuses increase to +2 at 11th level and +3 at 21st level. In addition, when you make a ranged or an area attack with a light or heavy blade as an implement, you don’t provoke opportunity attacks for doing so. |

That is just hurting the Assassin even more than the Assassin is hurting itself Dagger expertise - I question its existence as the problem can be solved with your next feat. But I suppose its a good feat nonetheless. Blade Implement expertise - The first half of this feat is very good. The second half is too limiting and shuts off any other arcane class using Arcane Implement Proficiency and Paladin's and Avenger's with their magic weapons. It needs a different second paragraph so that it is usable by any class. |

| #4SurrealistikNov 16, 2010 7:34:01 | Ah, whoops, yeah, I forgot to preface attacks with weapon. As for the Blade Implement expertise, that's true; put it down to me playing too much Swordmage lately. Updating. As for the effects granting flat damage bonuses, I can only really see Blade Implement Expertise not doing that; Ki Focuses are for striker classes thus far, and the Dagger implement belongs to a striker class (sorcerer). |
| #5Thorvald_GrimbjornNov 16, 2010 8:00:23 | Perhaps so, but they should be more conditional than they currently are. Consider Bow Expertise, which does give a flat damage bonus, but only against targets that aren't adjacent to any creature; a much harder condition to satisfy than simply using the Striker mechanic or employing nearly half of your power selections (incidentally, your version of Dagger Expertise would greatly benefit the Dragon Soul sorcerer, but not the others). |
| #6SurrealistikNov 16, 2010 11:41:09 | Good point. Revised the Ki Focus and Dagger Expertise feats. |
| #7Lord_VentnorNov 17, 2010 0:21:40 | There's already a Rod Expertise in HoFK. |
| #8SurrealistikNov 17, 2010 17:56:26 | Yeah, just learned that today. |
