After my last post I mentioned that there was going to be steam locomotives in my campaign that my pc's will use for their conveyance, well I drew one, took me 5 days it did! Please note that if this locomotive were constructed, IT WILL WORK. all of the parts and mechanical movements are all necessary for it to be fully functional so if you need an idea for a steam locomotive for your campaign here's one! This engine is called the: "Crusading Lion" for obvious reasons. But please, DO NOT subtract any parts (exept for adornments) for it will completely cripple the locomotive considerably. Yes you may think "it looks just like the ones in RL" but reason why is that whatever we came up with in RL, is what works for sure and thats that.

Has a very; Victorian-British Empire feel. Me likey.

For my steampunk-campaigns since they usually have a much more industrial/grit feel, ie: London during Industrial Revolution I usually go with later-era American Steam Locomotives. The ones with very fewer recognizable "train" elements and is one massive solid chunk of machinery with lots of exposed mechanical elements, piping, etc.

:OMG! you drew that?!? Your skills are epic. Im doing a hardcore steampunk setting too, and i think my PCs will eventually also be not only using a locomotive but helping to secure the first rail construction.

Very nice. Did you use a ruler?

What's the significance of the VI ?

I'll find a way to use this sometime.

years of practice son, by the way the VI is the locomotives number and coincidentally the number of Pc's in my party that use it as their mount! lol

And of course I used all kinds of engineering equipment so pretty much yeah I used lots of things to draw this including rulers

I'm in that annoying drawing stage where even though before could draw perfectly well I grow frustrated/annoyed when I put a single line down and feels like it is wrong.

best thing to do sigil beguiler is to listen to music, that always helps me or think more about the "finished drawing" you are attempting, or what you could simply do is turn a "bad line" into something else, improvise! Another thing that helps is graph paper, its the best for technical drawings such as this.

Oh I know, simply just mental thing. But you have to agree it is somewhat annoying :P Especially when you got a strong mental image.

It could be worse, I can visualize what I want to create perfectly, but have absolutely zero artisitc ability to create it, so it remains trapped in my mind forever.

I have always had dreams of someone inventing some machine that would draw out a mirror image of what someone has in their head. Would make it so when too lazy to draw but has an idea so much easier :P

They have tech that lets a man move a mouse with his mind. Those days may not be too far off. If you've got the cash, you could buy a ment-a-sketch.

Amazing locomotive btw. My step-da collects model trains. I certainly appreciate your attention to detail. Well done.
