| #1nilum87Jan 02, 2011 13:32:50 | Time to go croudsourcing. I'm working on a homebrew system based on Gamma World, but for a D&D style, high fantasy setting. Rules will be almost identical to Gamma World with a few exceptions, but I'm coming to the forum for input on what I'm currently working on. My current project is to create 2 origins tables: Class and race. Your character is determined by rolling on each table once, however I'm struggling to fill the last 2 or so spots on each table with a recognizable fantasy race or class. Your thoughts? spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AhBhVlX... Important things to know: I've reduced the D&D skill system down to 12 options, rolling certain little used skills into related skills. Acrobatics - Dex Athletics - Str Diplomacy - Cha - Includes Diplomacy & Streetwise Endurance - Con Heal - Wis (Not 100% sure this is needed in Gamma World D&D) Intimidate - Str (I've always prefered a Str based Intimidate to Cha, that's just me) Lie, Cheat, & Steal - Cha - Includes Bluff & Thievery Nature - Wis - Includes Nature & Dungeoneering Perception Wis - Includes Perception & Insight Religion - Int Scholorship - Int - Includes Arcana & History Stealth - Dex Finally, the feats will be replacing the Alpha Mutation Cards. At levels 1, 4, and 8 you can take a feat. Each feat will come with an encounter power or ability, and they will be overchargable. A character's overcharge bonus comes from his class. PS. Many thanks to halforcbard.blogspot.com/ for inspiration. |
