Demonology is the study of certain extraplanar entities (including demons, devils, and elementals). It is a high-risk branch of magic, but the rewards include powerful knowledge about the nature of these beings and of magic itself. Jack Faust was among the greatest of the demonologists, and his masterpiece, Faust's Taxonomy, contains all of his findings about demons and their ilk. The Taxonomy is considered the definitive source for the field, and includes classification and important information about over 35,000 distinct beings, and spells of Faust's invention to aid him in his work. I recently obtained a copy of Faust's work, and have decided to place some of the knowledge here, for future generations. *** The following pair of spells are copied directly from the Taxonomy. I will transcribe more when I have the permission of the Mage's Guild.
