| #1ForgemberNov 05, 2009 11:38:31 | My DM is not very keen on Homebrew stuff but I think this idea might be cool for others out there. Was thinking a feat for Beastmasters that increases the size of the beast by one catagory would be cool. So a regular Beast would go from medium to large and increase its damage die from d8 to d10. Raptor would go from small to med increasing its damage die from d6 to d8, and the bear would go from d12 to 2d6. Its not a crazy boost in damage really and would be great for realisim as most of these critters are actually large size, let me know what you think. |

sounds right, my initial thought was paragon feat. |
| #4rampantNov 05, 2009 22:43:18 | No you misunderstand, that's an actual paragon path feature. The Vadalis grifofn rider from the eberron handbook trades in his old ranger companion for a large flying, rideable griffon with a based damage dice of 2d6+mods. |

| #6kemmerJan 11, 2010 23:14:12 | For now, the Vadalis Griffon really outshines all the other companions available to Beastmasters. I hope some new Paragon Paths in Martial Power 2 help boost the others. When you've gone through 11 levels with a beast companion, you're bound to get attached. |

I'm actually pulling a bit of DM Fiat+Plot Magic to transform my player's current Lion into the Griffon when the time comes. |
