You've been using this skill for so long that you no longer make basic mistakes. Your results are consistently better than those with more training. Benefit: Once per day, roll two dice for a skill check with the related skill and apply the higher roll. The use of this feat must be declared before the roll. This feat cannot be used with passive checks. Each time this feat is taken, select a different skill. The idea here is that experience counts for something. The precise practitioner achieves reliable results, and is less prone to make rookie mistakes. To me, training and experience are different. You might know a great deal about how cars work but have little hands on experience. An experienced wrench monkey might know that the dilithium crystal matrix is 2 degrees out of alignment just by listening to the warp core... because he's fixed that problem a hundred or so times. His training might not be as in depth as the engineer who designed it. OPTION - Instead of rolling 2 dice, allow a reroll for that skill, once per day (but require that the second roll applies even if it is lower). But how is this better than taking 10?
