| #1flamingtwigzAug 02, 2009 20:51:19 | this is the beginning to my first adventure tell me what you think. Beginning: The adventure begins with the group of adventurers coming into the City of Gaella. While walking around the city they start hearing cheers and applause coming from the main square. When the adventures arrive they see two large groups of people clearly segregated on seperate sides of the square. Each group are behind one of the two men each standing on a podium, they appear to be in a fierce debate. When the party of adventures get closer to the debate they learn that the men on the podiums are fighting over what is to be done with the great invention inside the Drow cathdral in the woods outside the city. The man on the podium to the left is a Drow known as Grey Wolf, he is the leader of a underground protest group against Gaella’s government. He wants the invention to be retrieved and given to the elder Drow in the city so that they may learn of it’s mysterious powers and how to use/create it. While the man standing to the right is Baron Praxis a great human general in the city who is known to think of the Drow as dirt. The debate soon escalates to the point when the crowds are almost at each others throats but the city guards step in to stop the debate for tonight, as the two crowds begin to disperse Grey Wolf and Baron Praxis announce where they will be meeting after this and to come if you are interested in a quest that you will be compensated very well for. The Baron is going to the Golden Horn which is a bar that is mostly known for the “adventurer” crowd it draws. While Grey Wolf announces to the crowd that he will be going to The Red Pheonix which is a very low key tea shop in the slums of the city. |

| #3flamingtwigzAug 02, 2009 21:13:54 | both sides have the same adventure but there is a choice at the end to that gives you two different endings both are neither good nor evil just different and both affect the city greatly |
| #4LordManshoonAug 02, 2009 21:15:09 | this is the beginning to my first adventure tell me what you think. Good so far. The man on the podium to the left is a Drow known as Grey Wolf, he is the leader of a underground protest group against Gaella’s government. If he leads an underground anti-government group, wouldn't the government want him in custody? If it's clear his intentions aren't beneficial to the current order, why would he be allowed to walk the streets and spread his ideology? He wants the invention to be retrieved and given to the elder Drow in the city so that they may learn of it’s mysterious powers and how to use/create it. Good. While the man standing to the right is Baron Praxis a great human general in the city who is known to think of the Drow as dirt. What's his position? I assume he represents the desires of the government, but what exactly are they? The debate soon escalates to the point when the crowds are almost at each others throats but the city guards step in to stop the debate for tonight, as the two crowds begin to disperse Grey Wolf and Baron Praxis announce where they will be meeting after this and to come if you are interested in a quest that you will be compensated very well for. And Baron Praxis is the guy who controls military affairs so he is trying to make the dingus a military affair so he can do what he wants with it |
| #6LordManshoonAug 02, 2009 22:01:23 | well for the leader of the under ground orginazation he hasnt been proven guilty ever and its freedom of speech thats why he is allowed up there. Hmmmm... Well, if the invention is indeed capable of militaristic use, then I'd imagine the government wouldn't even give the drow leader a chance to recover it. There are bound to be many paranoid officials who will ignore the drow's words and believe he intends for his faction to use it against the government (since it seems to possess offensive capability). They may be in the minority, but if they stir up a big fuss, Praxis should be given the all clear to commandeer the invention, even if the people side with the drow. Even if he wasn't, wouldn't he still try to hinder the drow in any way possible (since it's been established he can't stand them)? Personally, it sounds like he'd play dirty just to insure that the underground faction doesn't get their hands on anything, even if he is a lawful man. How would the drow and his group deal with this? |
| #7flamingtwigzAug 02, 2009 22:14:22 | the drow are able to make up for the Barons upper hand becasue the dingus is a an old Drow cathedral, the Drow that live in the city came from the tribes around the city and they may still have connections |

As an underground faction, wouldn't they be desperate for every advantage? Or do they feel compelled to observe the will of the people, who may sympathize with the Baron and the established order? If they have an ace in the hole, why not play it? Sorry if I'm coming across as overly blunt or difficult; that's not my intention. I just want to observe every aspect of this campaign to help it grow. ![]() |

If they have an ace in the hole, why not play it? Yeah he's definitely doing you a favor. You don't want to hear your player's making fun of your plot holes! Then you'll be back here asking us how to take those plot holes and turn them in to adventures... oh wait... :P |
| #10flamingtwigzAug 03, 2009 13:02:58 | well the military is more powerful then the Drow tribesmen and trust me the tribe will show resistance to whoever comes near the cathedral |
| #11LordManshoonAug 03, 2009 16:46:22 | well the military is more powerful then the Drow tribesmen and trust me the tribe will show resistance to whoever comes near the cathedral If the party was to side with drow, would the underground faction mention their newest allies to their kin near the cathedral? If so, how quickly would the message reach the outsider drow? Would the drow trust the non-drow? If the uncivilized drow did attack the party, might they defect to the Baron's side if diplomacy and other such negotiations fail? Alternatively, how long could the tribesmen last in a battle against the military? Would they be steamrolled if push comes to shove, or could they buy time for the underground faction? Taking this a step further, if the underground faction was reported to aid the outsider drow against the military, wouldn't that be seen as treason? Sorry if this reply was overwhelming. My brain was awhirl. |
