I'm going to be running a new campaign soon and I want everybody's opinion on what I'm gonna try to do. this is either going to be 4e or 3.5e and the basic thing behind it is that up to two members of the party are from a completely different planet, one that has never heard of magic before, but is so technologically advanced that it has space travel. the party members from offworld are on a life boat getting away from a passenger ship that had engine problems and subsequently blew up because the crew members accidentally overloaded them. initially, they wake up in a village on the fringe, apparently taken from their crash site by concerned natives. the humans will only be from off-world, as their home-planet is earth, meaning that this new planet - a typical dungeons and dragons setting - will have elves, dwarves, and halflings filling the slots that humans fall out of.

the idea of the adventures is to resolve the conflicting nations on this world while trying to find a way off it for the offworlders. I think it'll be pretty interesting, but I want to hear the opinions of other game and forum goers
