Gaia's Story
The myths of humans name no creator for them. Some say they were made by a god long forgotten, perhaps slain eons ago by Asmodius to gain his power. Others, that they were made by all the gods, working together in harmony. And some say humanity slowly arose to this form over thousands of years of slow evolution, without any divine intervention at all.
All have some element of truth to them, and all of them are wrong. This is the story of Gaia.

When the gods looked down upon the Primordials' Creation, they decided to add life, potential worshippers, and order upon the Primodial's chaos. When they did, they also created a lesser divine being, a mere exarch, to keep it all in balance. She was called Gaia.

In time, Gaia grew envious of the gods and their worshippers. She had not the power to create life from soulstuff, as her creators could, but she had been gifted with the power over nature and nonsentient life itself. she began to alter life, attempting to create contions from which worshipers might arise. And she succeded.

But she could not speak to them. In their creation, they had overstepped Gaia's reach, for they were no longer animals of nature, but creatures of the gods- without a god.
