#1 trd23 Oct 14, 2011 17:07:59	I will soon be starting my Paragon campaign and am hoping you can provide me with some ideas re: things for my players to spend their money on. At Level 12 the monetary value of the treasure parcels is 26k - what interesting and fun things can I let my players spend their hard won gold on? I am restricting magic items - just because I much prefer to have the majority of magic items come from adventures as opposed to just popping down to your local mage guild and loading up with whatever looks good on the character builder. I will probably allow them to purchase minor magic items but they are going to have a lot of left over gold and I would like to give them interesting options on which to use their funds. In some cases they will have backstory driven purchases but I would love to hear what great ideas you can come up with - as well as any feedback from your paragon and epic games and what you did in regards to their rapidly increasing treasure hoards.
#2 ToeSama Oct 14, 2011 17:25:14	Their own lair or means of transportation is a good idea. Mordenkainen's Magnificent Emporium gives ideas for such things. There's even a floating castle that can act as both. This lets them craft lair items to suit their needs as well. A mid-air castle duel between the PCs floating castle and the floating castle of an enemy would be pretty awesome to do. Happy Gaming

I have seen a party with a theives guild get many a memorable deed acomplished. They could solely work on missions or patrol the area assigned to them, working as the party's representatives. They could also buy a rather spectacular pet or a set of animals such as a half-dozen nightmares or a behemoth beast of burden and moving throne. They could also serve as the main benefactor of a holiday or tournament for thier own honor or reputation. this is more of an intangioble reward, but one that could do more for the party in the long run than any single sword could... Hope this helps
